Dan and Jason
Jason Huang and his wife made my visit to Beijing very special.
As this was my first visit to China, Jason really helped me get
a feel for what his city and country are like. During my stay,
Jason and his wife introduced me to lots of new foods (they are
both excellent cooks), and helped me figure out many practical
things, like how to get around town on the bus and how to get
a cell phone. As I roamed around Beijing, I noticed all kinds
of new things and it was great to head home and ask Jason, "I
saw this thing, what does it mean?" Jason's english is very good,
and him and his wife were very interested in finding out about
me, and really enjoyed sharing their vast knowledge of Beijing
and Chinese culture.
Their flat is on the top floor of a brand new high-rise apartment
building, with an amazing view of the city. Their apartment is
very modern and clean(similar to a 5-star hotel!) and I got to
have my own room, bathroom and shower.
I really enjoyed my homestay with them, and would recommend it
to anyone who wants to have an experience in China that you just
can't get from staying in hotels and eating in restaurants.
I also want to praise the China Homestay Club for helping me arrange
my stay in Beijing. I was a bit worried at first about booking
my stay over the Internet, but I found the China Homestay Club
to be quite reliable; they mean what they say on their website,
and there were no hidden surprises. I plan to use their services
again in the future.

Terry with Chen Li¡¯s family and friend |
I was very surprised that the host
of my homestay family--Chen Li is a famous singer in China who
had received several major awards. As my purpose was to get experience
of the living as normal Beijing people, Chen Li and his wife introduced
and reminded tips and tricks in how to get around the city and
how to get away from troubles. They made my visit to Beijing very
accommodative.
Also Chen Li and his wife were very interested in finding out
about me, and really enjoyed sharing their experience. They even
arrange meetings with their friends so that I have a unique trip
which can not get from normal travel agency. I am glad that I
have new friends living in Beijing now.
Their apartment is very modern and clean and I had my own room,
bathroom and shower. As Chen Li and his wife do not speak English,
I would recommend their home to those who have basic Mandarin
level and really like to seriously practice their Mandarin.
I would also like to give my best regards to China Homestay Club
for helping me arrange my stay in Beijing. I was in a very short
notice (3-days before my flight to Beijing). I found China Homestay
Club to be very helpful and flexible before and during my visit.
