Why Study Chinese with Lotus Educational Foundation?
As a non-profit organization, Lotus's mission
has always been to provide quality programs at
a lower cost, as well as offer each participant
a great opportunity to have close contact with
Chinese culture via local people through our homestay
program. That's why we are unique and stand out
from the many other companies that provide Chinese
language programs. Our program offers:
| ¡ö |
High quality language
programs at universities with a high reputation. |
| ¡ö |
Unique culture exchange homestay,
the only housing type in our program. |
| ¡ö |
Program prices are some of the
lowest in the field. |
| ¡ö |
The Lotus staff is
very caring and provides prompt, professional
assistance. |
| ¡ö |
Resident director and staff
are on site to assist students, 24 hours a
day, seven days a week. |
| ¡ö |
Lotus also provides a "
travel China in homestay" package to
students, a unique way to discover China. |
| ¡ö |
Lotus programs are open to all
adults. No minimum GPA required. |
| ¡ö |
College credit is earned. Transcripts
are provided by each university. |
| ¡ö |
Lotus is a fully licensed, non-profit
organization. |
Why are Lotus prices so affordable?
| ¡ö |
Lotus is a non-profit organization.
We keep prices low to just cover expenses. |
| ¡ö |
Our host families do not charge
much -- they are interested in cultural exchange
and making friends, not in making a profit. |
| ¡ö |
Lotus does not produce expensive,
glossy brochures, pre-departure travel and
cultural guides. We encourage you to search
for these info on Internet. |
| ¡ö |
Lotus does not spend too much
on advertising or direct mail. |
| ¡ö |
Lotus students arrange their
own airfare and insurance. |
| ¡ö |
Lotus does not pay commissions
for recruiting students. |
Many students tell us about meeting up with friends
who have signed up with other, more expensive
program, and they tell us how surprised their
friends are to see them at the same university
in China ¡participating in very much the same
program but not paying nearly as much as they
did, while still earning college credit.
